As YouTube has grown and changed drastically in the past decade, Arden Rose has managed to maintain her authenticity to herself and what she stands for because of her passion for making creative content. Rose has become a “big sister” to thousands of young girls who look to her videos for education on all things female. Her determination to remain true to who she is, regardless of how YouTube has changed, is inspiring for young creators everywhere. We had the chance to learn a little more about her in an interview for our Spring 2018 issue of Pulse Spikes. A rapid-fire Q&A below!

How do you feel you best connect to your audience and followers?
I find it easier to have longer conversations on YouTube, but I spend the most time responding to things on Instagram and Twitter.

What are your favorite types of videos to film?
My big sister sit-down chats!!

When you aren’t working, what do you like to do to relax?
I like to sit, drink some tea, take a nap, and then read a really good book.

If you had to choose a song to describe your life what would that song be?
My Way by Frank Sinatra

Do you have a favorite city in the world?
It’s either London or New York. But if I had to choose, London.

Who would you consider a leader in your industry?
On YouTube, I would say Grace Helbig and Mamrie Hart! I also really admire my boyfriend Will Darbyshire, who is creating some amazing content. Otherwise, I’ve been lucky to work with so many amazing women on different team of projects I’ve been on and they have been some of the best and strongest leaders I’ve encountered.
