Tell us about yourself.
So, my name is Jordi Whitworth and I am 22 year old musician. I’m based in Essex, just outside of London, and live there with my mum & dad and two dogs, Harry & FiFi.

What was the experience of being on the X-Factor like?
Brilliant to be part of, and really a crash course in how things work in this industry. I wouldn’t trade that experience for anything and performing on the same stage that broke so many artists was truly inspiring. What a lot of people don’t realize is how long and tiring the process can be. There would be days we would arrive by 6am, but we wouldn’t perform until late at night.  Also Cheryl gave me a cheeky compliment so I was happy with that one 😉

Overload did really well on the show, you guys actually became finalists! What do you attribute that success to?
I think it has to do with all of the hard work that went into the band before we were on the show. We were actually part of the band, living and performing together, for two years before we were on the show. So I think the chemistry we had together came across on the X-Factor stage.

What can we expect from your album?
The process took a lot longer than expected, but since this is the first time my fans will see and hear me as a solo artist, I wanted to make sure it was perfect. In terms of the music style, it is a blend of pop with an r&b edge to it and something unique. My first single, “Fire,” is definitely a more fun upbeat Summer song. It is about an instant spark in a relationship that has the intensity to start a fire.

Aside from music, do you have any other passions?
Before going into music, Motocross was a big part of my life. I also like going to the gym and try to stay fit. I enjoy playing the occasional golf.

What is your favorite city?
So far, my favorite city has to be Los Angeles. Essex and London will always be special to me and my home, but I enjoy the weather in Los Angeles and the laid back personality of the city.

Do you want to continue to do acting?
Yes of course I love acting and being able to understand another person’s point of view for the day.

Do you have a favorite food?
BBQ stuffed crust Pepperoni Pizza from Dominoes …. oh my god 😍

How do you like to relax?
By sitting down watching Netflix with a Domino’s pizza.
